Finger Print Scanners, Licences, and Compatibility

Full Contact™ utilises the Neurotechnolojiga Verifinger SDK (version 4.2) for fingerprint scanning and matching.

This software development kit requires a licence matched to a scanner for registration and use. The licences are typically purchased with the scanner devices (if required) either from Imagine IT, or from distributors of the Verifinger SDK.

When you run Full Contact™ normally, it will not ask for registration unless a scanner is plugged in that requires a licence. If one is detected, then you will be shown the license entry window...

With this window, you enter your serial number and click the Generate button. Then using the Registration Id you can aquire a Registration Key for that scanner from the supplier or Imagine IT.

The finger scanning will not function on that machine until you have registered the scanner with this process, but you only need to enter these details once, they are stored in the Licences.txt file in the directory in which Full Contact™ is installed.

Registration will not work if there is more than one fingerprint scanner plugged in, make sure you only plug in one scanner when registering.

If you plug in another scanner that is already registered, then this window will disappear and fingerprint scanning will start functioning.

The U.are.U 2000 fingerprint scanner is a self-contained sensor for capturing a fingerprint and communicating the digital image to PC via USB interface. The on-board electronics control image capture, self-calibration, and the Plug-n-Play USB interface.
