The Other Details Tab on the Student Details Window is the place where you can list medical conditions, previous experience and general notes for a student, as well as registering different forms of scannable ID for the student.
The field on the left can be made Mandatory and/or Requested.
To work with scannable items for this student, you can either select the source from the drop-down combo (in the case of using a serial device), or click on the list to make it active and use a "Keyboard-Wedge" or USB scanner. See Tracking Students with Barcodes, Magnetic Cards or Fingerprints.
