Registering Other forms of ID

Some organisations wish to use the students own forms of id for scanning, such as a drivers licence, credit card or library card, etc.

With Martial Class™ you can register several forms of ID against any one student allowing them the option of how they register for each class.

You can even allow students to type a special "word", code or phrase to log their attendance.

To register other items against a member for purposes of automated identification and attendance, you need to do the following:

Edit the student details, select the "Other" tab, and select the scanner that will be used to register the id item...

Swipe or scan the id item, or ask the user to type in their code (on that scanner manual entry field in the Full Contact™ window) and the Add Scan window will appear in Martial Class™.

You will need to scan the item, or type the code at least one more time (possibly more if you're using a worn or old ID and/or an unreliable scanner). Then Martial Class™ allows you to enter a name to identify that scanned item.

To Cancel the registration process for a new form of ID, just use the Cancel button, or if it is already in the Other Scannable Items list select it, and use the

key.

The hand button allows you to release the scanner when you have finished registering items for this user. Closing the window will also release the scanner.
