Martial Class™ has an extremely powerful report generation system that can be used either at the simple level, or highly customised (by users with some technical knowledge).
The reporting interface in Martial Class™ allows you to generate the following types of reports.
Crystal reports has the most powerful formatting and merging capabilities available in Martial Class™.
Through Crystal Reports 9, you can create complex graphs and charts, summary reports with sub-reports, and many other features not achievable using the other reporting methods.
Some of the standard reports supplied with Martial Class™ demonstrate the capability of creating custom reports using Crystal Reports9.
Word Document, RTF and Email Merge
(Using Microsoft Word and Outlook (Purchased Seperately)
Using Microsoft Word Mail Merge integration with Martial Class™ is a powerful way to quickly creating mail-merge style reports (that is, letters or labels one per person, etc), but is not suitable for presenting complex summary style reports.
HTML, Text, Excel and Database Export Files
The ability to design/modify queries to export to standard formats such as HTML, text and comma seperated values (no additional software required)
Martial Class™ comes with a starter set of Standard Reports. These are outlined in Standard Reports.
All reports available to the system are shown in the Reports Window. The Reports window is also used to configure the windows from which each report is available within the system.
Martial Class™ also supports report sharing. With this feature, a user of Martial Class™ can author a new report (or re-format an existing report) and export the changes for others to import into their copy of Martial Class™. The export file captures all information required to generate the report, including the selection formulas, report fields and formatting template document. This export capability is yet another feature available exclusively with Martial Class™.
