Applying Periodic Training Fees
Top  Previous  Next

Martial Class™ has several ways to charge fees for membership, classes, insurance and contracts.

You may need to make use of one or more of these methods in order to model your payment system in Martial Class™.

Handling Ad-Hoc fees

Firstly, you can have fees that are primarily applied on an ad-hoc basis. This is achieved by creating a "once-only" fee and drag-dropping it to students as required. This could be used for equipment rental or charges for replacing membership cards, etc.

Handling joining fees and grading fees

These fees are typically set up as ad-hoc fees that are again drag-dropped on to students as required. Remember that you can associate certain fees with events.

For fees that are charged when a student joins the organisation, you can add the "once-only" fee item to a membership package. This fee will be charged when a new student is entered in the system and given that package.

Handling per-lesson charges

There are two ways to handle per-lesson charges. The decision of which to use depends on whether you want the fee applied to all lessons for that student, or to all students for a particular lesson.

Handling Periodic fees

hourly, weekly, monthly, yearly. etc...

Handling Training Contracts

Training Contracts are handled with a different mechanism which is described in the section Working with Student Contracts.

Part of our new online forums includes a discussion forum on configuration. Should you have difficulty in working out how to configure certain fees for your school, please create a new topic for the user community and our staff in the configurations forum online.

That way, when your question is answered, that information will remain for other users should they need to solve the same configuration problem.
