You can set student photos in a number of ways, either directly scanned in, read in from a disk file, or copy-pasted directly into the student details window.
In any case, Martial Class enforces an aspect ratio of Width x 1.2 = Height. So if your picture does not conform to that ratio, the Photo Editor window will be shown enabling you to crop the photo to the correct size.
Scan directly into Martial Class
It is possible (and fast) to use a digital camera or a document scanner to scan student photos directly into Martial Class, providing the device you are using has twain drivers (see your product literature to work out if you have this and how to install it).
To scan a new photo directly into Martial Class from a twain device, open the Student Details Window and select Acquire... from the Picture menu.
This will display the Select Source window.
You select the scanner source here and the scanning interface specific to your document scanner or digital camera will be shown. Scan the image through that interface.
Import from a disk file
If you have already scanned the file into the computer, if the student has emailed you a photo, or you have an automated transfer from a camera that dumps the photos onto your disk, then you can either Import the photo from a disk file, or copy and paste the photo into Martial Class.
To import from a disk file, you can simply use the Load... menu option on the Student Details Window. Bear in mind though that the same Portrait ratio of Height = Width x 1.2 applies.
Copy and paste the student photo
To paste the photo into Martial Class you need to use Paste from the Picture menu. Again, then
