Rating Students Based on Attendance
Top  Previous  Next

In the Styles Dialog, you can specify a number of ratings for students depending on the number of class points earned by the student in the last period (a "period" is a definable number of days).

The Min Points field is a "Watermark" value. That is, in the above example, if you have accumulated more than (or equal) to 2 points but less than 5 points, then your rating would be Warning.

Martial Class™ uses this information to rate each student and provide up-to-date visual prompts to the instructor (on screen and in reports) about the "dedication" of the student.

The point value is taken from each attended class. When you set up a class time using the Classtime Editor Window, you specify a point value for attendance. This means that rather than suffering limitations of other systems that simply apply a blanket 1 per attendance regardless of class length or value, you can do something like:

eg:   Karate Classes (1 hour = 1 Point as general rule)

General Class 1 hour = 1 point
General Class 1.5 hours = 2 points
Black Belt Class 1 hour = 3 points (this class is "worth" more attendance points as it's a difficult class).
etc...
