A scanner status and assignment detail section, this section displays the status of the hardware, the port it's expecting to be connected to, and the current class for which the scanner is recording students.
Students can check this before scanning their card/finger or typing their member number or password.

|
When assigned to a class, the scanner shows time remaining to register in that class. In this way students can see how long is left before it stops recording for that class.

|
Each scanner "row" includes a manual entry field for that class, this allows the user the ability to register attendance for that class with a membership number or password typed manually. This field is also used to accept keyboard-wedge style barcode scanner input.

When something is scanned, Full Contact attempts to match the item to data in Martial Class in order to identify it. This could be a member or a stock item. When matched, the name of the matching item is displayed along with additional useful information. In the case of a student, the data shown can include the current balance owed (if any) by the member, the members name, whether the member requires a new contract, or has trained out of contract, and any flagged fields that have been marked "requested" for the student to provide updated information. These details stay on the scanner window until either the timer removes them (the timer delay is configurable in the Options Dialog), or another item is scanned by that scanner.

When scanning a fingerprint, Full Contact displays firstly a direct photo from the scanner, then it locates/analyses the data points and displays them. Lastly, if the person is found in the system, the fingerprint is replaced with the member's image.

The member photo is also shown. This can be used by desk staff to verify identity.
