The Report Field Editor Window

The Report Field Editor Window is displayed when you select the Edit Report Fields... button on the Results tab of the Report Editor Window.

This window allows you to specify which fields and formulas you wish to include in your report or mail merge document.

The left hand pane shows you all the fields available for your report. Double-Clicking these items, or selecting them and choosing an action from the Add... button will utilise them in your report, either as additional report fields, parts of aggregate functions or other complex expressions, or for determining sort order.

The upper right hand field lists the expressions and fields that will appear in your report in the order they will appear. The field names can be edited here and will be used to both
1.name columns in the exported mdb file for Crystal Reports, or other export formats; and  
2.name the field for mail merge substitution.  

The lower left hand field lists the fields and their associated sorting direction used to sort the report results.
