Using Scanners for Sales

Martial Class™ has the ability to record various scannable forms of ID to identify Stock (and students).

This means that :

·	For students, you can use printed barcodes from Martial Class™ to identify students, or record one or more scanned items against a student to identify them, or use both methods interchangeably.

·	For Stock items you can also print barcodes to use for sticky labels, a look up sheet on the register or for tags to tie to the stock items, or alternately you can scan things such as the barcode the item comes with (the ISBN barcode on books) for example.

This scanning capability is the most advanced available in any program of this kind and equates directly to better productivity, more reliable tracking and cost savings for your business.

Convenient
This functionality allows you to scan barcodes on stock items to allow you to identify them, instead of requiring you to create your own special magnetic or barcode tags for stock items to make use of the scanning functionality.

Simple
When you are in the Fee and Stock Editing Window, you can scan any barcodes that identify that stock item. Then, at Point of Sale, you can simply scan that item's barcode to add it to the purchase.

You are still able to scan and use the Martial Class™ produced barcodes for those items, and for others that you wish to produce barcodes for.

Safe
Scannable items registered against students are NOT stored in Martial Class™.
