Fingerprint scanners:  The fingerprint scanner option provides a very reliable and easy way to ensure students can quickly sign in for class. The bonus is that they cannot forget to bring their fingers!

If students (or Instructors) are worried about a "Big Brother" syndrome, be aware that this solution does not store fingerprints. When a student fingerprint is registered, the system records a "Hash" value, that is, a mathematical result from characteristics of the fingerprint that are unlikely to match someone else's fingerprint.

So it is not possible for someone to extract a students fingerprint from the database.

This scanner had the best results in testing, has proven extremely reliable, and is the only one that allows you to connect multiple fingerprint scanners to the one machine.
