Martial Class required a small modification to support MCool so they will both be released at the same time. Converter 0.3 released and Announcing MCool Available Soon!March 1, 2006 Version 0.3 of the converter is now available from our downloads page. This version adds text files (in CSV format) as a conversion source. Some of our new users, are using this to import data from excel, quickbooks, Martial Arts Organiser and other applications. You export and arrange the data for your students according to the format given in the wizard screens, then point the converter at the files and rip the data in. Additionally, today we announced the exciting new MCool synchronizer. This utility links Martial Class with Microsoft Outlook, maintaining all your student contacts in outlook and leveraging outlooks scheduling and task capabilities to remind you of followup calls and birthdays! You can also then use outlook to schedule you one-on-one and ad-hoc interviews. Look for MCool in the next few weeks! Please be aware however, that our testing uncovered a minor instability we were unable to resolve for this release. Most users should rarely see this as it tends to only occur with heavier use. The symptom of this problem is an occasional error being thrown or the program closing and the workaround is to simply run the program again. Your data is unaffected as Martial Class saves data as you go. This remains at the top of our list for the next patch release. As we are dedicated to producing software of the highest quality and want to ensure Martial Class is a product you will be proud to own. NEW Multiple Styles:Martial Class could always handle multiple venues and complex class schedules, but now you can also manage grade recording and management for multiple styles! The styles capability has been introduced across the package, so you can track attendance against classes in different arts, register people for gradings, events and seminars under different styles (or multiple styles in the case of multiple style events) and have separate ratings for each member's attendance relative to the types of classes they attend! NEW Report Building Capability and Interface:The report engine has been enhanced and reworked to provide a powerful data selection interface for your reports. Additionally, we've added the import and export capabilities to allow you to share your report templates with others in your organisation.
